There seems to be a ray of hope in west africa’s fight against the deadly ebola virus which is currently ravaging the sub region.
The reason is because the World Health Organization has approved the use of untested drugs or vaccines to treat people infected with the deadly virus.
A panel of WHO medical ethics experts who met in Switzerland to discuss the issue ruled Tuesday that it was ethical to use the experimental drugs, considering the severity of the recent Ebola outbreak.
The team however cautioned that the supply of such unproven drugs would be limited.
