Nina Pham was the first nurse infected with Ebola after treating Thomas Eric Duncan. The National Institutes of Health has now released a statement announcing that Pham’s health has improved. Her status has been upgraded to good. I’m Erin White with your latest health news.

Pham treated Thomas Eric Duncan, a Liberian man who was diagnosed with Ebola and died October 8th. She was recently transported to a National Institutes of Health facility in Maryland after being treated for Ebola at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas, the same hospital where she cared for Duncan and contracted the disease.
