Police in Guinea has arrested 27 suspects in relation to the murder of an eight person Ebola education team last week. Those murdered on Tuesday last week included local health officials and journalists, and were recovered from a septic tank two days later. Conspiracy theories are rife in West Africa, and have hampered efforts to slow the virus’s spread. Many Guineans believe healthcare workers introduced the disease to lure African to clinics in order to harvest their organs. Nearly 3,000 people have died in history’s worst ever outbreak, with over 1,000 of those from Guinea.
