The International Rescue Committee has been at the forefront of the fight to stem the spread of Ebola in Liberia and Sierra Leone since the outbreak of the highly contagious virus began just over a year ago.

The IRC was able to quickly respond to the emergency and has been working hard with Sierra Leone’s government and local communities to get to zero cases. One year into the outbreak in Sierra Leone, IRC aid workers reflect on what it has meant to work on the response.
