I’ll give you points for ingenuity. However the reality is that this would
be giving you a false sense of security. Is it better than being entirely
unprotected of course. However with that much skin exposure, exposure to
any pathogen would be a matter of time. Again an excellent idea for
reycling but unfortunately inadequate. That being said… the face mask
may be adequate for shielding you against blood and metal shards. But
that would never be OSHA approved. But it might get you by in a pinch.
